The League of Maritime Editors and Publishers (LOME) has postponed its business luncheon earlier planned to hold on Tuesday, December 10, in Lagos.
The luncheon which was earlier scheduled to hold at Rockview Hotel, Apapa, is a high-powered event to host the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, as well as the Chief Executive Officers of the maritime sector under the Blue Economy.
The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) by virtue of its link with the maritime sector is also billed to attend the luncheon.
In a press statement, the President of the League, Mrs Remi Itie, explained that the postponement of the luncheon was due to a clash with other events at FCT Abuja involving the Minister and other CEOs who are billed to attend.
According to Itie, a new date will be announced very soon.
She disclosed that the luncheon will serve as a platform for the Minister and his CEOs to unveil their development agenda for the Marine and Blue Economy Ministry for the coming year, 2025.
Expected at the event include the CEOs of Nigeria Customs Service, NPA, NIMASA, NSC and NIWA.
The theme of the event is titled: ‘Achieving Impactful Gains on the Development Agenda for the Maritime Industry’
Itie added that stakeholders in the maritime industry who have been invited will be delighted to hear about the quantum leap and more to expect in the Ministry and agencies since they assumed office.
